Michael Antonio Hernandez currently studies drama in the Meisner Studio at New York University Tisch School of the Arts in Manhattan. A lifelong performer who has been singing since before he could speak, Hernandez is an award-winning singer and actor, receiving Best Dramatic Performance Overall and Best Scene Partner at the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival.

In addition to performing, Hernandez is a filmmaker and producer. Since arriving at NYU in 2024, he has produced more than 15 narrative short films working with budgets of upwards of $150,00, collaborating with emerging directors and writers across the university’s filmmaking community. His original writing has also reached some of New York’s most iconic stages, with shows and music he co-wrote performed at Radio City Music Hall and Carnegie Hall.  Michael is interested in how acting informs directing and producing for the camera. 

Hernandez has trained in acting at the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute, HB Studio, and The Actors Studio, and has worked with artists from the LAByrinth Theater Company. Alongside his work in film and theatre, he also produces digital content for social media influencers and actors, with his videos reaching over 10 million viewers online.
